During the Smart Mobility Congress held in Barcelona, it was presented for the first time the electric microbus prototype developed by Indcar. The prototype is the result of the collaboration between TMB, Applus Idiada, Millor Battery, Eurecat and Indcar.
Strada e-City is the first 100 % electric minibus with zero emissions designed to cover the regular transport needs of a big city. It has been designed for an intensive use, reason way it has up to 16 hours of autonomy in circulation, inclusively with the air conditioning on. Its design with modular batteries and the access through the back make the vehicle have low maintenance costs.
It has a capacity of up to 22 passengers: 8 seated, 2 folding seats and 10 standing passengers. In addition, it has a central electric ramp and a seat for PRM.
Currently the vehicle is being tested in Idiada and subsequently will initiate a period of tests with the passengers.
With this project, Indcar leads the way of the sustainable urban mobility.
