A CENTENARY COMPANY

Founded in 1888, from its very beginning Indcar worked on the manufacture of bodyworks. It spent its first years building carriages and stagecoaches. Currently the company is specialized in the manufacture of bodyworks for minibuses used in passenger transport. Our mission is to guarantee our customers a product for an efficient, safe and comfortable transport.

Innovation is part of our DNA. Innovation means moving forward, and is our base for creating a more efficient and higher quality product every day. Our philosophy is to make out of design, comfort and creativity the growth levers in order to be more competitive and continuously improve the product.

1888

Queralt family starts building wood stagecoaches in Arbúcies, Girona.

1936

The founder's grandson, Joan Queralt, takes over the business and manufactures the first metal bodyworks.

1970

The company begins to carry out all types of industrial vehicle transformations: ambulances, vehicles, freight vehicles, passenger transport vehicles.

1978

The setting-up of Industrial Carrocera Arbuciense, SA. Transfer to current facilities.

1990

Indcar gets specialized in the MANUFACTURE OF MINIBUSES.

1992

The first unit of Mago1 is manufactured. The best-known model that allows Indcar to become a reference in the field.

2000

New model Mago2. Expansion of the production plant

2001

Launch of Wing model.

2010

The internationalization process is culminated. More than 80% of production is for the foreign market, with more than 20 distributors throughout Europe.

2012

The opening of the commercial subsidiary in Italy.

2013

The opening of the production plant in Romania of 5000 m2. Launch of MOBI urban model.

2014

The launch of Next. It receives the award “The minibus of the year” granted by “Viajeros” magazine.

2016

Extension of the facilities in Romania. Busmaster certification granted by Iveco.

2017

The opening of the commercial subsidiary in France.

2019

Development and launch of the electric minibus Strada e-City Low Entry.

Located at the foot of Montseny massif, in Girona (Spain), it is the central headquarter of the group. With more than 140 workers and a production of 240 vehicles per year, in this centre is concentrated the manufacture of the Wing, Mago2 and Next models.
