The family of Autocares Hermasa, a company from Calatayud (Zaragoza) engaged in transporting people for over a century, is expanding: during the last weeks of 2022 it welcomed an Indcar Next L9. The midibus measures 9,390 millimetres in length, 2,500 in width and 3,340 in height. The wheelbase, on the other hand, has 4,760 mm.
The characteristics of the Indcar Next L9 midibus
The Indcar Next L9 is a midibus built on a Mercedes-Benz Atego 12.24 chassis, powered by a Euro 6 Om 936 engine, with 6 cylinders in line and 240 horsepower. The front and rear suspensions are fully pneumatic. One hundred and eighty liters is the maximum tank capacity, while the AdBlue tank is capable of storing up to twenty-five litres.
Indcar Next L9, accessibility and safety
A special feature of the Iberian manufacturer’s midibus is the predisposition to transform the 35 seats into a large space capable of comfortably accommodating six seats for wheelchairs. In terms of comfort Indcar has opted for a fitting-out: for the air conditioning system, the parent company has chosen Thermo King, while for the heating one Aerotermos. This way, whether it’s summer or winter, the driver has the possibility to set the systems, maintaining a pleasant temperature on board, improving the travel experience. Speaking of the driver, the Next L9 in question was equipped with a box that separates him from the rest of the passengers.
The delivery of Indcar for Autocares Hermasa
At the Indcar plants in Arbúcies, Josep Riumallo – Indcar sales manager for Spain – had the pleasure of delivering the keys of the midibus directly to the brothers David and Javier Martinez, owners of Autocares Hermasa: «It is a pleasure for Indcar to have worked on the supply of this vehicle to the Martinez brothers, a family whose name is inextricably linked to passenger transport and which has been living with and for its customers since 1915».
«We are a family business dedicated to the transport of passengers by road since 1915. The experience accumulated over several generations allows us to understand the responsibility that involves moving people, so every day we try to improve the quality of services, offering our customers seriousness, safety, a job well done and a personalized service», added the Martinezes, at the head of a company capable of traveling more than a million kilometres a year, thanks to a fleet of 22 buses.
