This week we have participated with our e-B6 electric minibus in the Segovia shuttle system tests together with Avanza, one of the main passenger transport operators in Spain.
The tests began on 16 September and will continue until 22 September. The aim of this initiative, part of the European Mobility Week, is twofold: on the one hand, to reduce heavy vehicle traffic in the walled enclosure of Segovia and, on the other, to improve the efficiency of public transport in this area.
The defined route takes place between the Plaza de la Artillería and the walled enclosure, during off-peak hours from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and from 5:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., and the end of the bus lines is located at the Plaza de Artillería stop.
With a frequency of 15 minutes, “transfers are free and anyone who uses the shuttle without transfer will pay the single ticket fare,” says Segovia City Council.
The 100% electric e-B6 model is specially designed for historic centres due to its dimensions of 6 metres long and 2.20 metres wide. It can seat up to 33 people, 10 of them seated and there is space for wheelchairs or pushchairs.
