INDCAR is making a smart and responsible commitment to the safety of vehicles, drivers, and passengers. It thus becomes the first bodybuilder in Europe to incorporate all the systems covered by the new regulations.
“Currently, all vehicles are delivered with the ADAS system fully approved and verified, ensuring optimal operation and the assurance that they have passed quality controls,” emphasizes Gaël Queralt, CEO of INDCAR.
This project was developed in conjunction with IVECO, with extensive testing of all systems to ensure full integration with the brand.
To achieve this goal, the executive says it was necessary to adapt the original systems from IVECO, its main partner; in some cases, to approve them; and in all cases, to install, test, and calibrate them.
This is a meticulous project carried out entirely by INDCAR, in close collaboration with the IVECO team, ensuring maximum compatibility, quality, and reliability of the final product.
To date, more than 80 vehicles with the integrated ADAS system have been delivered across all European countries.
In the case of INDCAR vehicles, the following new technologies have been incorporated: Automatic Emergency Braking (AEBS), Intelligent Cruise Control (ISA), Lane Departure Warning (LDWS), Drowsiness and Fatigue Detection (DDAW), Reversing Sensors (REV), Tire Pressure Monitoring (TPMS), Blind Spot Detection (BSIS) and Front-of-Vehicle Detection (MOIS). Also noteworthy is the ability to connect a breathalyzer and automate the activation of vehicle lights and windshield wipers.
The reason for this implementation is supported by the General Safety Regulation (GSR), which since July 2024 has required all new vehicles in the European Union (EU) to comply with the new EU directive on road safety.
These systems are designed to prevent accidents and reduce the severity of crashes, and they form the basis for a future transition to automated driving.
EU legislation also provides for three other mandatory safety features, which must be installed between 2026 and 2029.
INDCAR guarantees European approval for all its vehicles.
All INDCAR units have European approval, which means they comply with the latest version of the regulations, thus guaranteeing the highest level of safety and reliability.
This comprehensive compliance, which includes the incorporation of all the systems required by the GSR, not only offers greater protection for drivers and passengers but also increases the minibus’ residual value. A vehicle with European type approval can be registered in any EU country without additional modifications, increasing its appeal on the used market and expanding sales opportunities throughout Europe.
“At INDCAR, we are committed to innovation and safety in all the bodywork we develop. Each project combines advanced technology, rigorous processes, and validations with the manufacturer IVECO, reflecting an absolute commitment to quality. The result is reliable mobility solutions, fully validated and fully compliant with current regulations, designed to offer maximum safety and reliability to our customers,” says Queralt.
