Public entities, administrations and companies from the public mobility sector met on September 21 and 22 within the IMC 21 congress to address the challenges regarding the future of public and local mobility. The Associació de municipis per la Mobilitat i el Transport Urbà (AMTU) organized the event, which celebrated its first hybrid edition, with the possibility of participating in person or online at the different presentations.
Digitization, user experience and emission reduction were the star topics
Among many other topics, topics such as public-private cooperation to achieve sustainable development goals, digitization and user experience of mobility or the low-emission bus, were taken into consideration. Indcar was at the congress and presented its entire range of gas minibuses, at a stand in the exhibition area, in addition to the urban minibuses in the vehicle exhibition area.
The AMTU celebrated its 20th anniversary with a dinner and an exhibition in an Indcar minibus
During the night of Tuesday there was also a dinner to celebrate AMTU’s 20th anniversary. There, all the guests had the opportunity to see up close the urban minibus Mobi City L7, which was hosting a photographic exhibition about the entity since its foundation.
The dinner was chaired by the Minister of Digital Policies and Territory and Vice President of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Jordi Puigneró, and by the President of the AMTU and Mayor of Sitges, Aurora Carbonell. Both highlighted in their speeches the need to work for a continuous improvement of mobility and public transport infrastructures, as well as to face climate change, the reduction of emissions and the decarbonisation of public transport.
